For his "Veronese Vases" Mongrain takes a traditional Venetian form to new dimensions. The original shape was created in the 1500s by Italian Renaissance painter Paolo Veronese and brought into the round in the 1920s by Vittorio Zecchin at the Venini factory in Murano, Italy. Mongrain’s elegant vessels are the large-scale equivalent of Zecchin’s design, and are featured in red, yellow, and orange.
