MONGRAIN
Artist
Statement
The
challenge of becoming technically proficient in the Venetian tradition
of goblet making has dominated my interest since the beginning of my career.
Simplicity and functionality have become important characteristics in
my most recent work. Collaborating with a variety of artists on special
projects and installations has proved to be a tremendous challenge and
source of inspiration. My intention is to continue to develop a more personal
aesthetic while remaining true to the style which initially provoked me.
